If you buy from our shop or order advertising then some of your personal data will be transferred to our payment processors for the purposes of processing your payment. 7. Your rights
7.1 You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. We will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. 8. Product Purchases
8.1 Items purchased from our online shop are covered by the Consumer Contracts Regulations. Any product that arrives damaged, is short in quantity, or is not as described on the website is liable for refund if reported within 14 days.
8.2 If you believe that a product is defective or not as described, we will request that you return it to us for our examination. Return postage will initially be at your own cost.
8.3 After checking for defects, if we agree the item is of sub-standard quality, we will despatch a replacement at our cost and credit your account with a fair sum to cover the return postage you paid when returning the item to us. If no replacement item is available we will credit your account with the amount you paid for the product and a fair sum to cover the return postage incurred.
8.4 Claims for damage, shortages, or non delivery must be advised by phone or email within 14 days from the date that the items were despatched.
8.5 We shall not be liable in respect of any claim unless we are notified in accordance with paragraph 8.4, except where you can demonstrate to our reasonable satisfaction that it was not possible to comply with this requirement and the claim was made by you as soon as reasonably possible thereafter.
9. Advertising Purchases
9.1 We accept listings or advertising for businesses and organisations within the Hastings and St Leonards area only. Any listing requested for those based outside this catchment area will not be fulfilled.
9.2 Advertising is placed on a yearly basis. Upon acceptance of your order you will receive a minimum of 12 months display of your listing or advertisement on the website.
9.3 You may cancel your listing or advertising at any time within the 12 month period following your payment. Please contact us if you need to cancel before it is due for renewal.
9.4 No refund or part refund will be given if you cancel your listing or advertising after the first 14 days of initial placement.
9.5 A further 12 months will be added to your listing or advertising subscription each time you renew for a consecutive year. This is a continuation of service and as such the 14 day cancellation period will not re-apply.
9.6 The destinations of any links used in your listing will be checked from time to time. Should these become invalid (dead links) or are redirected to sites not related to your listing we reserve the right to remove the links in order to protect our own credability. We will make a reasonable effort to notify you should this happen.
