The Role This is an exciting position for a Java Developer to work across all aspects of the software development life cycle; supporting and delivering high quality software changes across Hastings systems and platforms
What you will do - Write and modify software to agreed standards with direction from experienced team members
- Understand and apply development standards though-out own work and be able to leverage tooling as needed to achieve a well-engineered result
- Conducts testing and debugging of code, corrects errors, and re-test to achieve error-free results.
- Document work in accordance with agreed internal standard including GUNIT test coverage
- Basic understanding of database and application services, such as queues and caching.
What we are looking for - 0-24months practical experience working as an IT Developer in an agile team, supporting and developing enterprise level applications.
- Experience of Java/JVM/Spring based languages is essential
- Experience of Springboot/Microservices is desirable
- Relational databases, SQL is desirable
- Object Oriented Analysis and design
- Source Management software such as GitHub
- SOAP, REST, JSON, XMLJSON & XML; HTML; CSS and JavaScript
- Knowledge of a test driven approach including exposure to either TDD or BDD would be an advantage
- Ability to communicate effectively with the team, participating in scrum meetings, design reviews and consistently deliver on own user story commitments

The Role As a BI Analyst you will work across all aspects of our Data Warehouse and Reporting Infrastructure; from analysing requirements for data, information and insights to making design recommendations to meet those requirements. You will ensure that the required data and insights are available where needed and find ways to structure and present this information in order to maximize its value and usability across the business.
What you will do - Interact with other business functions to understand/identify their data needs/requirements and then design and build reports and visualisations (sometimes moderately large/complex) from the supplied specifications; using agreed standards and tools to achieve stable, reliable and easy-to-use output.
- Carry out analysis of data requirements to establish, modify and maintain reports and visualisations that translate objects and data models into appropriate reporting within design constraints.
- Create, amend, and keep track of reports and visualisations to ensure these remain in accordance with design and architectural guidance. As well as remaining compliant with the latest data protection/privacy rules.
- Provide technical and application knowledge on data concepts, objects, Datamodelling techniques and design principles.
- Where relevant, provide input into the evaluation/recommendation of BI tools, definition of hardware requirements and system configurations - including development of reporting models.
- Design solutions that provide fair outcomes to ensure customers' reasonable expectations are met. Challenging peers and managers alike where processes and procedures do not meet these customer expectations or place our customers' interests at the heart of what we do.
What we are looking for - 2-5 years of practical experience working within a data, technology or reporting role, either within a project or corporate environment applying data analysis and Datamodelling techniques.

As a Hearing Aid Audiologist, you will be expected to provide a thorough and professional hearing assessment, fitting, follow-up, and aftercare service which meets the required standards. You will have the capability to conduct safely and competently to BSA recommended procedures where relevant.

Requirements
