Originally built in 1828 as the focal point of Burtons' St Leonards, The Royal Victoria Hotel derives it's name from Queen Victoria, just one of over 500 distinguished guests that have stayed here, include King George V, Prince Albert, Edward VII, Gladstone, Palmerston and Tennyson.
Situated in a prime position on the seafront in St Leonards-on-Sea, the hotel offers you traditional hospitality in a friendly atmosphere together with moden facilities expected in the 21st Century.

Many of the elegantly, spaciously and comfortably furnished bedrooms feature a separate lounge area and enjoy stunning views over the English Channel and Beachy Head.
For those special occassions there are several special suites and a room with a spiral staircase from the lounge leading to the bedroom and bathroom on an upper level.
All rooms have en-suite facilities with showers over the baths, colour TV, direct dial telephones with data points, hairdryer, trouser press and tea / coffee making facilities. A lift serves all floors.
In the Sea Restaurant, located on the first floor, you are able to enjoy a selection of traditional and international cuisine whilst enjoying spectacular views accross the Channel. The wine list features wines from around the world to compliment your meal. A speciality of the Royal Victoria is the traditional sunday lunch carvery featuring Chef's Roasts and selection of homemade Sweets.
The Piano Lounge and Bar is also situated on the first floor at the top of the grand marble staircase with its 20ft high mirror. Here you are able to enjoy a selection of bar snacks in comfort or an after dinner drink in a relaxing atmosphere whilst taking in the splendid views.
The Royal Victoria Hotel has a range of air conditioned conference and function rooms to suit all of your requirements and budgets. The Burton Suite in particular is a multi-functional room, which makes an ideal venue for your conference with nearby breakout rooms and a full range of audio-visual equipment. With it's own dance floor and adjacent Royal Bar it also provides a perfect setting for a special function or wedding.
You are now able to get married and have your reception at the Royal Victoria Hotel as the Victoria Room is licensed to hold your wedding ceremony and for larger weddings and functions the Sea Terrace Restaurant is available.
