I absolutely love Hastings. Went for a holiday with family when I was 3, back in 1986. The place had a huge impact on me :-), lots to do and see, I love it. Went to the Jungle Tumble, Pier, Pirates / smugglers caves and lots more!

I lived the first 6 years of my life with a family on 21 Marlin Road. They went by the name Charlie and Phylis Eveden. Sweet memories of the singing of the sea, the ruins and the open fields still remain strong.

I am proud to be a Hastingite, now. I was born there in 1924 and left just after the war, glad to get away but after seeing your wonderful site I have changed my tune. It appears to be a go-ahead place and one to be proud of. Wish I could visit again. Thanks a lot L.C.

I lived for a while in hastings a couples of years ago, and I have to say that Hastings is one of those places where you go for a few days or weeks and you then just fall in love. Everybody knows that Hastings is a small town but it has what other places dont..... good people!!! Thanks Hastings for making me feel like if I was at home.

Cheers!

I have some friends working in UK and happens to stay there in Hastings. They were telling plenty of good stories and beautiful places about the town, and once tried going there but my visa application was rejected. One day, i tried surfing the net and look if i can see something about Hastings. I was lucky to find your website as it gives very detailed information about the town. Congratulations to 1066online.com for job well-done. I wish i could visit Hastings in the future. More power and God bless!!

Nn this way: greetings to nick, samuel and teri!! We visited also london, windsor and so on!! fantasic, too!! I lived in Hasting during world War 2 in the Star Pub then moved across to the guesthouse at the sea front end of All Saints Street. My uncle had a company called Rye Arc Welding at Rock-a-Nore and owned and built trawlers, one of which was named "The Wendy Mary" after my cousin. I can remember the horse drawn lifeboat going past our window on most nights. There is so much to say about my time in Hastings and it was a delight to visit and remember actual scenes from my past. well done, an exellent site
and thank you so much for letting me relive my childhood once again.
