The Home

St Dominic’s Nursing Home is situated in St Leonards-on-Sea, within a landscaped garden which provides a pleasant and relaxing place to sit or walk on fine days. Accommodation consists of single en-suite bedrooms, all with a nurse call system, television and telephone points. Residents can personalise their rooms with some of their own furnishings and possessions if they so choose. Assisted bathing or shower facilities are available on each floor.

The Care

24 hour nursing care for the elderly and dementia care, as well as respite care and convalescence. We provide a holistic approach to care which is complemented by outside professionals including GPs, Chiropodists, Dentists and Opticians. Traditional meals are freshly prepared in-house and special dietary needs are catered for as required. Qualified, experienced nurses and skilled, caring staff are on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Facilities

We offer a varied programme of activities, which are planned in conjunction with the wishes of our residents.

Six comfortable lounges are available for use at any time of the day, where residents may meet and relax. We also have weekly Yoga “keep-fit” sessions and musical entertainment is provided by professional artists throughout the year. We make every effort to help residents continue with their own hobbies and interests or to take up something new. They can enjoy sitting in our lovely garden and families/friends are always welcome to visit.

Reminiscence therapy is supported by Wi-Fi technology. Residents can contact their relatives, they can see and talk to their families anywhere in the world by using Skype. Residents can also learn computer skills, including how to use the internet and e-mail. We also have a hairdresser and regular reflexology and aromatherapy sessions.
